Disco Apple Mosaic
Back-to-school season calls for fresh supplies, bright colors, and a little sparkle. This easy apple project works for artists ages five and up, and every finished piece will look completely different.
 
Steps:
Start by coloring or painting your apple with several shades of red, pink, or any colors you love.
For a mosaic version, cut or tear small red squares from old magazines.
Glue the squares inside the apple shape, leaving a little space between each piece.
Older artists can experiment with changing the size and angle of the squares to show how the apple curves and wraps around.
Add a stem, leaf, background, or a few shiny details to give your disco apple its own personality.
